The Importance of Colour in your session wardrobe

Whenever my clients ask what to wear for their family portrait sessions, I always, always suggest bringing some vibrance to the photos with a beautiful vibrant wardrobe.  It's important to remember that you want to be the most important thing in the images. The star of the show, the thing that draws our eye.  Gone are the days of everyone wearing white and beige.  I love it when clients bring some richness in their wardrobe.  Personally regardless of the season I love to incorporate mustards, plums, coral, orange - why you ask?  Because these are colours we don't often see occurring naturally in our backdrops.  Blue might feel like a safe and easy option, but when we are surrounded buy all that cool green and blue on a summers day with the grass and sky, I rather find my clients in blues and grays get lost.  SO lets hear it for the jewel tones and bring some zazzle to the shoot!
